Hi,
Is there a way to run maintenance tasks like merge, compact, defragment, remove old items and health check on backup jobs without making a new increment?
Use cases:
re-run only merge if it has failed on last run.
compact backup files when obsolete VMs has been removed from the backup job

Re: Backup job maintenance tasks
Hi Sami,
Currently, all these operations are performed as a part of backup job runs and cannot be started manually and independently from the backup job runs. However, job retries and new job runs are two completely different logical operations. E.g. if the merge has failed, we will specifically retry the merge operation without starting the previous operations such as, for example, reading the data from the source.
Defragment and compact backup files operation removes obsolete VMs data from the backup files.
Thanks
