We are using Veeam Backup to backup our ESXi 3.5 and we had problem once in a month with the below error.
Analyzing object "XXXDC5" (64), host "penvmware4
" Failed to login to "xxxvmware4
" by SOAP, port 443, user "root", proxy srv: port:0 Log
in failed due to a bad username or password. T
here are no objects to backup
All VM serves are still online running and user able to work on it. We tried to restart the VM network and agent, however it also failed.
We always need to reboot the host itself.
However this does not happen in our ESX 3.0 and 3.5 server.
Any ideas?

Re: Backup login failed once a while
Hello Steven,
Could you tell us please what version of Veeam Backup and Replication are you currently using? Do you see this error on the particular time or it happens randomly once a month. I am asking that, because I wonder that it might be related to some activity on the ESXi host. By the way are you able to login to the host with the same credentials at the same time when the error occurs?
Thank you!
