Backup repository question

Post by pkliverpool »

Hello,

I am very new to VEEAM and I have a question about using backup repos. We currently have 2 jobs to tape and 1 (backing up VM's) to disk . The VM job runs daily and it the incremental backup mode has been selected.

The data is stored on the local backup server disks but I would also like to send the backup to a Repo as a safe net in case something happens to the local disk of the backup server.

So , under Managed servers i added the secondary windows 2012 server and under backup repositories i added the server and path as needed . Everything seems fine but how do I initiate the backup of the VM's to go to the backup server's disk 1st and then a copy to the secondary server ?

Thank you in advance

Update: I believe I found the answer but correct me if I am wrong. I create under jobs " Backup copy " to run when I need

Hello and welcome to the community pkliverpool,.

You can use backup copy jobs to copy backup files from one repository to another. Take a look at this Help Center article for more details.
