Backup Server configuration

Post by willymaykett »

Hi,

I am setting up a test implmentation of Veeam, so far so good, but I am only doing backup across the LAN.

The next step is to hook the backup server (W2k3 Sp2, 32 bit) directly to the SAN fabric, and zone accordingly.
What steps, issues etc do I need to be aware off so I don't screw up the datastores from ESX4.
I am aware of not automounting disks, but is there anything else?

Thanks in advance
