Backup taking 10 hours

Post by HaroldC »

I have multiple servers on the same host being backedup during the same job. One backup runs at 950 MB/s with 770 GB to backup and another one drops to 5 MB/s and takes 10 hours to backup only 175GB. I've been researching and can't seem to find an answer. Probably a stupid question, but does anyone know if the guest OS network adapter has any bearing on the backup speeds? It seems to be the only thing I can find different between servers.

Guest OS network definitely does not affect backup speed. As for backup speed issue with particular server, if both VMs are on the same datastore, I would suspect that either CBT is not working for this VM (most likely), or a very large amount of changes to process during each incremental pass. Please do not hesitate to contact our support for help pinpointing the issue. Thanks.
