Best practice for Nimble and Veeam

Post by thyda.phit@hpe.com »

Q1 Is it available to use Veeam Explorer for Storage Snapshots, if we just run "Snapshot-Only Jobs".
Q2 For an environment having 2 nimble storage as a primary and a secondary, what is the best practice to implement backup and replication?
any ideas or merit between those two methods:
Option1: Backup from primary storage arrays by Veeam and replicate snapshot to a secondary storage using nimble feature
Option2: Backup from secondary storage arrays and replicate by Veeam feature

Q1: Yes, of course. Veeam can restore from any storage snapshot, not matter who or what creates one.

Q2: I prefer Option 3 :D I would certainly do Veeam backups from storage snapshots on secondary storage array, not to put unnecessary load on the primary storage array. However, I would also have Veeam delivering those snapshot to the secondary storage array (Veeam can natively manage replication of Nimble storage snapshots from primary to secondary array using Nimble replicated copy feature).
