Hi folks,
i have "inherited" two veeam servers, one on-premise and one in a datacenter.
The DC server does local backups, and then do a copy job on the on-premise server (using a shared folder as a repository).
The on-premise server does some local backup, and wrap local+replicated backups into a "tape out" job.
All of this using 9.5 standard.
Santa will bring me soon some VUL licences up to date . I was considering using the server not having the tape (the remote one, in a DC) as a "mere" repository, taking advantage of wan accelerators to speed up copy job from remote to local, and controlling everything from on-premise server (which would be the only veeam server).
Would it be the best way to operate ?

Re: Best way to handle "merger" of two veeam servers
Hello,
and welcome to the forums.
Your idea sounds good Instead of using a shared folder, I recommend using Windows / Linux native repositories for better performance / stability.
Best regards,
Hannes
