buy additional license for hyper-v & vmware mixed environmen

Hi, We have infrastructure with
VMware (main school)
5 x VMware ESXi Server - each server has 2 physical processor

Hyper-V (sister school)
2 x Hyper-V server - each server has 1 physical processor

Veeam server is in the main school. We currently have Veeam Enterprise with 10 CPU sockets (vSphere) to backup the VMs on the 5 ESXi servers.
We would like to backup the sister's school Hyper-V using the Veeam in the main school.

Can we buy additional license so that we can use the main school Veeam to backup the sister school Hyper-V ?
How many Hyper-V license do we need ?
And in the future if we move away from the Hyper-V to the VMware, can the Hyper-V license be converted to the VMware license ?

Any help on this will be much appreciated, thank you.

Hi,

1. Sure, you can buy additional licenses for Hyper-V and merge it with the one you have.
2. You need 2 sockets license as you mentioned two Hyper-V servers with 1 physical CPU sockets each.
3. Yes, you can ask a sales representative in your location to convert it for you whenever you are ready.
