Is it possible to use a replica as the seed for a Backup Copy Job? I know we can go the other way by all I have is a replica and with 4 servers each totaling 1 TB in size our DS3 is saturated and it has been running for about a week just catching up the smaller servers.
thanks,
Rick

Re: Can i use a replica for a backup copy seed of original
Backup Copy jobs must be seeded with full backup file (VBK) of the source VMs.

Hi, Rick. You might want to backup replica VMs locally at DR site, and, then, map a backup copy job to the resulting backup files. Thanks.

Can i setup a replica at our DR data center (just a daily replica) which uses the backupfiles from regular backup jobs to replikate from so I don't hit the production enviroment at all?

Currently, it's not possible. However, this feature is already included in our short term feature list.
Thanks.
Thanks.
