Cloud Connect Replication Service Provider Side

Post by HBcory »

Hello all,

We are a service provider that offers cloud connect replication and we have encountered an issue with replica mapping after completing an offline seed.

Steps within the process:

1- Created tenant and assigned replica resources (created the full hardware plan)
2- Added service provider to client side
3- Created new full backup jobs of each VM, ran the jobs to an external hard drive.
4- External hard drive was sent back to us (SP side). We uploaded the VM backups and then completed full restores
5- Imported the VMs into the folders that were created on our side for the clients hardware plan
6- Had a remote session with the client to begin the replica mapping and this is where we ran into our issue.

We have created a new replica job, selected the source side VM, selected the appropriate entries for the target side and once we get to the option for replica mapping we click edit to choose the VM to map the replica to, the service provider appears and so does the hardware plan but if we attempt to choose the hardware plan it does not provide a listing of VMs that we can choose from.

I believe this is likely an issue in terms of where we put the restored VMs on the SP target side to make them visible to the client side under their hardware plan. There does not seem to be much documentation present on this yet so any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you need any more information please do not hesitate to ask
