This might be a daft idea...
If we wanted to do this
One backup job -> local Veeam disk repo -> backup copy job -> cloud S3 object repo (contains other backup jobs too) -> backup copy job -> remote Veeam disk repo
Would that be possible (without copying the whole of the object repo to the remote disk repo)?
I assume it's possible if the backup job has its own object repo, because then we can copy the whole object repo to the remote disk repo?
Would either of these be a bad idea?
The reason being there's an international VPN between the local and remote sites and copying data over that is significantly slower than it's going to be downloading the data from object storage to the remote site. Currently the data gets sent out of the source site (with limited bandwidth) twice - to object, and over VPN to remote disk repo.
Thanks

Re: Copy one job's backups from cloud repo to remote on-prem repo
Hi Alex
It seems your question is about doing a "copy from a backup copy". This is not possible today with the new V12 job format.
It is planned to enable this functionality again in one of the next patches:
Copy from Backup Copy
Best,
Fabian
