Hi together,
currently, I'm struggling with a backup copy job.
Either what I try to achieve is not possible, or I am too blinded to realize how it needs to be done
I have two different backup jobs, which back up the same VM:
1. Disks 1-5 of VM xy
2. Disk 6 of VM xy
So far so good, that works fine.
Now I use a backup copy job which copies data onto a different repository.
As far as I can see, I only have the possibility to either copy the first 5 disks, or the last one, but not all of them in one copy job. Is that correct, or am I missing something?
Thanks a lot as always

Re: CopyJob - Different disks of the same VM from two jobs
Timo, combining different disks of the same VM from different restore points is not possible, only data from one of the restore points (most recent) will be copied. Moreover, this is not a good practice at all, as, for example, these disks can be backed up in different time so the result "combined" VM will end up with disks having different state.

Re: CopyJob - Different disks of the same VM from two jobs
As a potential workaround you can try to add the same VM via standalone host, if it’s currently added via vCenter (or vice versa) and let a second backup job back up disk 6. After that, add both jobs as a source for backup copy job.
This way, a backup copy job might decide that disks are coming from different VMs and might archive them successfully.
Thanks.
