Creating SOBR - Unable to create because of "Backup Configuration Job"

Post by s2cbackup »

I'm having this issue. There is no ID after "Backup Configuration Job"

Scale-Out gave notice that the HHD was not formatted REFS and would perform better, so I backed out of the Scale-out Setup and reformatted the disks, then started Scale-out again. and got this message below. Then I reformatted back to NTFS but I'm still seeing this error.

Image

Windows Server 2022
C: OS
D: 10TB Default Back Repository NTFS
E: 10TB Scale-Out error
F: 10TB
G: 10TB
etc

Hello John

No need to format or recreate any volume. The error message tells you, that the configuration backup cannot be placed on a SOBR.
So we need to change the target for the configuration backup to another repository.

Let's assume your default repository is in D:\Backup

What you need todo:
1.) Create a second repository to a dedicated folder path (example: D:\ConfigBackup) --> https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
2.) Change the location for the configuration backup to the second repository --> https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
3.) Create your SOBR with the Default Backup Repository as an extend --> https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120

This time it will work. Because the configuration backup job points to the other repository.

Best,
Fabian
