Database of backed up files?
A nice feature of Backup Exec is the database of backed up files I can search whether the backups are local on disk or offsite on tape. The problem I have with Veeam is that I need to have the backup files on site, and go through the restore process in order to search. I had hoped to be able to move backup files off-site and retrieve only as necessary. If I want to search files from months ago, I need to restore months worth of backup files. Is there a better way?

Re: Database of backed up files?
Hello,
Thank you for the provided feedback!
I suggest you looking into the Veeam Enterprise Manager search functionality - it provide you the ability to search for VM's or VM's guest files? Please refer to the Enterprise Manager User guide for the detailed information. Thank you.
