Hi everyone,
It appears that Veeam backup does not check for free space on the datastore BEFORE creating a snapshot of a vm. Please confirm this for me and also make this your #1 option/feature if this is not currently available.
1) Feature- check datastore free space and if below XX GB don't run the backup job.
Thanks,
vb

Re: Datastore Space Check before Job runs?
Hello Roy, correct - Veeam Backup does not currently check free space on the datastore before creating a snapshot of a VM. In v5, we have a warning already implemented that would alert your when production datastore is low on disk space, but it will not block the job completely. I will discuss with devs if blocking the job is something we can potentially add too (just can't promise making it #1 feature of v5 release)
