when i create a new windows proxy or a windows repository the servers are entered in the backup infrastructure managed servers - microsoft windows. so far so good. now i go to files, then i see the entered servers there again. if i now select one, then i see the entire directories of the server. i want to prevent this.
my question:
- can i turn off the display for files permanently or make it invisible?
- can i limit the access and the display to certain directories, so that for example only certain volumes are visible?
the background is that different departments are stored on different volumes. the workshop is allowed to access its backup space, but not the accounting backups.
thank you
jeff

Re: deny access to windows server under files
Hello,
I don't think that it is possible because you add a Windows server to the Backup Infrastructure using an account that belongs to the local administrators group. You can create different repositories for different departments on the same Windows server, for instance, D:\Backup is for Workshop, E:\Backup is for Accounting, etc. Your idea might be considered as a feature request as we'll need to implement an additional "layer" of logic to be able to filter out the specific files, but so far it's not something that we're going to build in near future.
Thanks!
