EM VMware Cloud Director TAB

Post by Alexnc »

Hello

I'm configuring my first VMware Cloud Director integration in Enterprise Manager.

I can add organization, the tenant list is OK, but I don't have the organization tab as in the documentation's screenshot https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120.

Thanks for your help.

Hi AlexNC,

Can I ask, have you validated that all the prerequisites listed here were checked and confirmed? In the Sessions view are there any issues with the Data Collection sessions when collecting from the added Veeam Backup and Replication Server?

I advise check the prerequisites, and if you cannot spot any deviation from the prerequisites, please open a Support Case and allow Veeam Support to review the behavior. Please include logs from Enterprise Manager for Support to review.

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply.

All the prerequisites are OK:
  • The version of Cloud Director servers must be 10.1 or later ==> 10.5.0.22080047
All Cloud Director servers must be added to the backup infrastructure of backup servers ==> OK
Backup servers that contain the Cloud Director servers in their infrastructure must be connected to Enterprise Manager ==> EM and B&R are on the same server using the same installer (12.1.2.172)
Enterprise Manager must complete data collection from the added backup server ==> OK
The account that you will use to manage Cloud Director organization configurations must be assigned the Portal Administrator role ==> i also tried with the administrator account
I cannot open a support case since I'm using our NFR license on this new infrastructure at this time.
The self portal is working and I can add organizations in the self service tab.

Hi AlexNC,

Thank you for confirming. I think a case is the best way to go here, as it won't be possible to troubleshoot over the forums. NFR licenses are eligible for "best-effort" support, so you can try with that but if possible to open a case with a license with an active Support contract, please do so.

Since the list is based on what is added to the Veeam Backup and Replication servers added to Enterprise Manager, I suppose maybe there is an issue with the synchronization, but again, just a guess, really I think a review of logs is best here with Veeam Support.
