Email notifications

Good evening everyone I am currently running the newest version of beam backup and replication community version 12. After the update to version 12 I am not receiving any email alerts after a job is completed. The test email is sent out fine. I have three Linux machines that run the Veeam Linux agent, they dump into the repository within Veeam back up and replication upon their completion. An email would be sent out with a success failure or warning. This is no longer happening in version 12 any help would be appreciated.

That sounds like a technical issue. Please provide a support case ID for this issue, as requested when you click New Topic.

Could you describe a bit more, what "dump into the repository" means? Are they standalone agents or are they managed agents (managed by agent / managed by backup server)? Where did you configure notifications and did you enable them also for "success"?

With community edition, chances to get a support answer are low. You can also just search through the logs in c:\programdata\veeam\...

I have a ticket currently open Case #05915602

I have a repository that is created on a SMB share.

All the agents are currently stand alone and they point to Veeam Backup and Replication.

I have all the settings checked off correctly for email notifications.

Everything was working correctly and fine before the update to Version 12 I also have all of my stand alone agents up to date as well

When i send a "test email" the email is received. The emails are not being sent or received after the job is completed.

I have gone through the logs and found something strange prior to the update for the Veeam Agent on linux emails were working fine as you can see here

Confirmed as a bug for the linux agent or for VBR?

It's a VBR bug. The plan is to fix it in one of the upcoming updates. The support ticket indicates that you are using community edition. So getting a hotfix (if one would be created) would not be an option.

Is there any form of bug tracker/eta for this fix? We are having this issue on several agent for windows and would like to get the email alerts working again.
