Hi there!
We have a client who is stuck using EMC Networker. Neither they nor we have anything good to say about it, which is why I’m posting here.
Is there a recommended conversion path between EMCN and Veram? The hitch is that this is a financial firm who needs to retain backups over a seven year period. I was hoping that there was an easier way than creating point-in-time restores of each server (100+) and subsequently importing them into Veeam (or as VMDK backups that are archived off...whatever).
Realizing that there isn’t a perfect answer so this is more of a ‘what would you do?’ type question.
Many thanks in advance!

Re: EMC Networker conversion path
Hi,
As far as I know, Networker has some sort of Instant Recovery functionality. If it can be scripted (like in Veeam), then it should be possible to script Networker to restore those VMs in a semi-automatic manner. After that you can set Veeam to automatically backup those restored VMs.
Thanks
