Enterprise Manager Sizing
Hi
We will use Enterprise Manager for self service restore and managing multiple backup server.
So, we will prepare a dedicated Windows server(Install only Enterprise manger and SQL Server for EM).
Do you know sizing(RAM and CPU) for this EM and SQL Server(express or standard)?
What's depend? (Numbrer of VMs, vSphere hosts, Added backup servers, indexing files? )

Re: Enterprise Manager Sizing
You can find system requirements in the user guide and some sizing recommendations in this thread.

Re: Enterprise Manager Sizing
I keep the thread up-to-date with the demand for sizing.
Unfortunately, there was not much to learn about sizing with regard to the Enterprise Manager in the training sessions.
We have about 1500 VMs that are backed up and now we want to use the Enterprise Manager to get
- 1-Click Restore
- File Index
- Authorisations / Roles (e.g. restoreoperator,..)
We have the following questions about the Enterprise Manager with 1,500 VMs:
(1) Hardware or virtual
(2) RAM
(3) Number of cores
(4) SQL Express or Standard?
Is the sizing analogous to the Veeam Backup Server?
Many thanks to all.

Re: Enterprise Manager Sizing
IHAC who is planning to implement a self-service backup portal for their internal users and expected to have over 300 users for it. (not all of users will access EM at the same time, but over 10 or more users will connect at the same time.)
For such use case, do we need to have any additional CPU/Memory for EM server? If any recommendations, it is very appreciated.
