Execute Veeam jobs from HP-UX/Orsyp

Post by Hasslehogg »

Hi guys

I was wondering if anyone could help me please. We have some scheduling software called Orsyp that is installed on HP-UX along with out NetBackup and controls the schedules for our NetBackup jobs. I was wondering if there is anyway to control/execute the Veeam jobs from HP-UX/Orsyp so that Orsyp is controlling both Veeam & NetBackup jobs in 1 single pane of glass. This would also help me schedule the Veeam jobs to tape once the Veeam job has finished rather than using post job scripts

thanks again

You can certainly run Veeam jobs from the Windows command line so probably the easiest way to run them from HP-UX is to install an SSH server on the Veeam box and configure it to allow remote SSH key based login from the HP-UX system. You can then run commands on the Windows box like so:

Code: Select all

ssh user@host "/path/to/command"
I don't know about HP-UX, but on Linux you can also build a "winexe" executable, which can be used to run remote Windows commands from the Linux command line:
