Hi everybody, could someone give me an example in which it could be helpful to use the Explorer for storage snapshots? It could be used to make a restore...but restore from which datapoint....the snashot isn't a backup itself!
Thank you

Re: Explorer for Storage Snapshot
Storage snapshot is not a backup, but it contains VM data (VM disks, VM guest OS files, and application items) that can be restored. Each snapshot in this case is considered as a restore point.

Re: Explorer for Storage Snapshot
Yes, indeed I still to be confused. The storage snapshot support is clear to me: the main benefit is to reduce the time of vmware snapshot...it's ok. But I don't understand the Explorer. So in that link there are 4 benefits but none of them is related to the Explorer.v.Eremin wrote:Have you checked the corresponding section of our User Guide already? Thanks.
Suppose I have lost a guest file and I have to restore it: I need to restore it from a backup not from a storage snapshot! Why never should I have taken a snapshot just before losing my file?
