This week we had to provide such information to management to justify moving from our current backup provider to Veeam, as they wanted to compare storage savings. Unfortunately B&R only seems to have this on a per-backup job basis.
This report wouldn't have to be anything fancy. Just showing the following...
- Raw backup data (how much storage would be used for all restore points, if there was no compression or dedupe).
- Compression ratio.
- Dedupe ratio.
- Resulting Raw/at-rest storage being used.
- Split out per storage repository and/or as a whole.
Other vendors provide this. Having a nice report stating, for example, "100TB raw backup files | 30TB used after compression/dedupe | 70% reduction/savings of space used" goes a long way to justify infrastructure projects

This could even be a standard window under the Backup Infrastructure or Storage Infrastructure nodes in the B&R Console.
