File Level restore (Windows) timeout in V8

Post by Anders »

A New feature in V8 is that the "Explorer" like FLR restore window Closes automaticly after 30 minutes of inactivity.

Is there a way to change this?

I have a customer who have a really big server with a ton of folders and files, and the FLR window took about 45 minutes to open i V7. Now in V8, it Closes before it even loads because of this timer.

Is there a reg key or some other way to increase the 30 minutes timer?

Thanks,
Anders

Yes, there's a registry key that controls the timeout value (in seconds):

Code: Select all

InactiveFLRSessionTimeout(DWORD)
Should go into the standard HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veeam\Veeam Backup and Replication hive.
