CASE #07223172
I use Veeam Backup & Replication Vs. 12.1.1.56 (Community Edition) und try to restore a single file from a VM backup of my fileserver. The file is located on Volume D:\ of the fileserver and D:\ is ntsf formatted, bitlocker encrypted and bitlocker decrypted before the backup begins.
When I browse the volume D:\ of the backup, it shows no files and folders at all. When I open the explorer from within the backup browser a failure message "Pfad ist nicht verfügbar (path is not available)" is shown and that there is no recognized file system on the volume.
The folder C:\VeeamFLR\SERVER_58a9824a on my Veeam Backup Server shows the 4 Volumes of the backup "Volume0,Volume1,Volume2,Volume3) Volume3, that's the one I need for the restore, can't be accessed due to "unknown file system".
Any help and hint is aprreaciated.

Re: File Restore Failiure - Backup Browser is empty
Hi mashme,
Thanks for posting the case number; please note that Community Edition cases are handled on a "Best Effort" basis, so let's see if Support is able to grab this one.
The behavior itself is not expected, and I do suspect Bitlocker may be at play; is it possible Bitlocker was not yet done unlocking the volume by the time the backup began? I would maybe make a test job if you have the space for an additional Active Full and disable Bitlocker on the volumes, wait a "fair" amount of time, and try a backup/restore from that new Full.
