File restore to multiples devices from Veeam console
We need to install the Veeam agent on 2,000 devices within the organization, but centralized file restoration to multiple devices simultaneously is required. Currently, the Veeam Backup & Replication solution does not have this functionality, and it is needed to reduce restoration times for user operations to ensure business continuity in case of ransomware or disaster.

Re: File restore to multiples devices from Veeam console
Hello Jhonnatan,
Assuming you are hit by ransomware, I would expect that all files on your volumes are encrypted. Using file-level restore may not be the fastest recovery option for such a scenario, especially if you have to restore thousands of files. Volume Level Recovery may work much faster and allows you to restore your system disk as well. Or do you plan to deploy the new operating system otherwise?
Either way, starting a recovery of files for every device with a single click is not possible. Each agent has a different backup set, and files to be restored need to be selected for each agent. You may try to script the recovery, but please be aware that for file-level restore, the backups will need to be mounted for every agent.
PowerShell - Guest OS File Recovery
As an alternative, you may check out the PowerShell command for volume level restore. If the protected files are on a dedicated disk, volume level restore of that disk will provide the best recovery performance: Start-VBRComputerVolumeRestore
Best regards,
Fabian
