Hello, we are using Veeam B&R V6 (not yet on 6.1 but soon)
VMWare ESXi 5 with VCenter
We replicate various systems from our primary site to our DR site in AZ at various times during the week. One of the issues we have is replication of our File Server. Specifically B&R only sees the OS partion of the drive. Why, the OS partition is a VMDK and the data drive is based on an ISCSI initiator connection inside the Windows 2008 OS directly to the LUN on the SAN. Veeam B&R does not see this ISCSI connection and thus doesn't replicate the data drive.
We are looking at various replication solutions that actually work at the OS level and provide near realtime replication and HA capabilities. Unfortunately, there is a cost associated with buying new software and I would rather leverage our existing investment in Veeam to get this to work. Other than moving our data partition to a VMDK is there a way to implement B&R V6 with our current design?

Re: File Server Replication Issue
That, or you can also make this volume RDM disk in virtual mode, then B&R will also be able to replicate that.
