FR: IP change of repo unnecessarily difficult

Post by bubbagump »

Put this under the feature request column. We had to change the IP of a Linux based repo and the move seemed unnecessarily difficult.

* remove chains from the config
* remove repo from jobs
* remove repo
* remove host
* readd host
* readd repo and inventory jobs
* readd repo to jobs

One would think that Veeam would simply follow DNS to the new location.

Was the corresponding server added to Veeam B&R console via its DNS name?

Agree. Then this script would help to reflect the IP change in database.
