frequent WAN acc. error: 'StartDiskSyncTask': There is active sync task
Hi
We have been using WAN accelerator a lon gtim ebut since upgrading to v10 and also now in 10a we see this error frequenlty and I had a case (04342643 opened on 19:th of August) open for one of them.
The case solution was to clear the source cache but since then we have had this on three other sites using WAN accelerator. To clear out a local cache means in our case that we are unable to perform a secondary copy for almost a week on all server based due to the amount of data on source.
My question to the forum is; do more people see this error frequently?
All our procy (WAN accelerator source) are physical servers with good performance.

How did you set up the Veeam server(s) and WAN accelerator ?
Did you upgrade the other Veeam servers to v10 and also edit the WAN accelerator on all the Veeam servers ?
One stupid thing I noticed about Veeam upgrade is that the upgrade or version update (v9.x or V10) does not update all the components....you need to modify repositories, virtual labs, WAN accelerator even if there are no changes then when you click apply, you will see that it updates these various components.

Yes all different components are upgraded to version 10x

Hi Mats,
Clearing cache should not be a solution, so the next time you see it it's better to investigate it deeper with our support team. Quick search in our internal issue tracking system didn't return any results for this error message.

As I said I had a case on the first time this was seen. The first investigation was the anti-virus but that didn't do anything and second suggestion was to cleasr the source cache and this solves the problem. As a third option I was told to clear the target cache and for that I said NO direct since that would mean that all local sites had to start over creating the target cache.
But OK next time I give it a try again with support and refernece to this post.
I saw in the firum that this error has been up before:

Yes, saw that thread too, but since Paul (second poster) didn't reference his case, I cannot search for the solution for you.
