Hardened Repository - Linux server hangs during backup

Hello,
I'm playing on my lab with hardened repository feature. I've created dedicated Ubuntu 20.04 server VM with XFS filesystem and immutable flag set to 1.
The server itself is working. The Veeam repository is created (100GB), but when the backup start writing to it, the linux server hangs and the only way to resume it is the reboot.
The Veeam server and linux vm are on the same vsphere hosts and the same network.

The job fails with following:

Has anyone had these problems, and how did they solve them?

Hi Davide,

It looks like a connection issue.
Have you already checked open ports/firewall?

Also, could you share your Support case ID? It's a technical problem which may require logs analysis, so Support could help.

Also, are you assigning role of hardened repository to Virtual Machine? It kind of ruins the purpose of immutable backups: if malicious administrator gets an access to virtual infrastructure, he can easily delete Virtual Machine along with the backups stored inside it. Thanks!
