having problem in file level restoring on Non Windows VM
Hi All,
I've just install Veeam VBR 4.0.80 in my 64 bit Windows Server 2003 as a backup server, the backup destination is on the NFS shared folder on NAS device.
However, when I click on the "Veeam File level restore" icon i selected the VM (Debian Linux or Sun Solaris 10) it launched VMWare Player 3.0
My Questions are:
1. What are the differences between "Synthetic Full" and "Rollback" backup ?
2. The VMWare Player 3.0 screen goes blank after the "Freeing unused kernel memory 148k freed" section and now it displayed DHCP assigned IP address of "inet addr: 10.2.3.190 Bcast: 10.2.3.255" without nothing happens ? I double checked the Task manager and it doesn't show any activity at all ?
Can anyone please shed some light in how to perform file level restore please ?
Thanks.

Albert,
I believe you're already working with our support team concerning to your second question. As for the difference between Synthetic Full and Rollback backup, rollbacks are your previous runs and full backup is your current state, here is the pretty good article explaining synthetic backup that we are using: Synthetic Backup Explained
As well as this one:Incremental Backup Mechanism
Thank you

Please note that VMWare Player 3.0 has just been released and is not yet supported according to the System Requirements section found on the Release Notes document.
