Hello,
Maybe this question is dumb, but i lack the very basic understanding in the subject, and reading the Veeam documentation does not make it any clearer, so here goes:
How exactly does the backup process work?
More specifically, when the snapshot is created - is that snapshot being backed up, or are the disks themselves being backed up (while being in a consistent state) ?
I would guess the snapshot itself is being backed up, but i am not sure.
Thanks in advance for your input.

the snap isn't being backed up your data is running live on the snapshot. your original data is frozen in time, thats whats being backed up block by block, and with CBT enabled it does the differences.

Re: How does the backup itself work
So if i run a pre-freeze and post-thaw scripts, the data in the state after the pre-freeze script is executed will be backed up, and the post-thaw script will not affect the data being backed up?
