how to delete from hardened repo?
I've read through a number of articles and posts but can't figure out how to actually enter hardened repo backup folders and check/delete files. I am in as sudo and can go into /mnt/veeamrepo and if I ls there I can see a dozen or so backup job folders. but attempting to cd into any of them gives me no such file or directory. how do i get in there to act on the files? thanks!

Hello,
In order modify, change, delete immutable files in Linux, first you need to remove immutable flag.
Either from files or directories, with following commands, respectively:
Check immutable flag (letter "i") before and after changes with lsattr command.

Hello,
What error do you get exactly?
What is the result of "ls -lhrt" command on top of the folder which you try to access?

Re: how to delete from hardened repo?
I had to do this once. During initial configuration you probably added repouser to the sudo group temporarily. Do this again (temporarily) and you should be able to delete files after changing the immutability bit.

Thank you - yes this sounds familiar - will give that a try. Working on opening a case with veeam as well, I’ve just run into some non-work delays this week.

Thank you Safa, that was the key (temp adding repouser to sudo).
