How to have Backup Copy to use different Proxy

Hi All

Env: Veeam 9 u2
Two windows Proxies: Server1 & Server2 - same LAN
- Server1 is powerful with a lot of CPU core and RAM
- Server2 is less powerful in CPU and RAM
Two CIFS Repositories: Rep01 & Rep02 - same LAN
- Rep01 has Server1 as gateway server
- Rep02 has Server2 as gateway server
Backup jobs has Server1 as Backup Proxy
Backup Copy jobs have data transfer set to Direct

We like to have the following scenario but not sure it works:

All Backup jobs writes backup data to Rep01 using Server1 as proxy
Backup Copy jobs using Server2 to read data from Rep01 and write directly to Rep02 without any interaction with Server1

As it is now it seems that the backup copy jobs still uses Server1 to both read and write data to Rep02

Is this possible? Am I thinikng wrong?

You need to specify Server2 as a gateway for both repositories, however in this case the Backup Job will use Server1 as a proxy and Server2 as a gateway, which I believe is not what you need.

So in your suggestion will that make the backup job to use Server1 to read data from Datastore and then pass data over the LAN to Server2 that writes to Rep01? That is not what we want but I heard something about "Proxy Affinity" in 9.5 would that make a difference in this case?

No, proxy affinity would not make any difference.
