~CHALLENGE~
I have seeded a Backup Copy Job from its Tape Backup source.
However the name of the Backup Copy Job under Backups/Disk (Copy) is not ideal.
Q: Can it be renamed.?
~DETAIL~
Backup Job below is sent to tape.
Backup Job name: Coruscant Servers
»» Backup to Tape Job name: B2T - Coruscant Servers
At a remote location I have restored the Backups off tape to a repository.
The folder for the restore on the repository is created/named by Veeam - Coruscant Servers on Tape
I then proceed to create a Backup Copy Job.
Backup Copy Job Name: BCJ - Coruscant Servers
I seed/map the BCJ with the backups off tape.
Now in Backups/Disk (Copy) view the backups are filed under Job Name Coruscant Servers on Tape
Is there a process (or something I missed) whereby I can rename that entry to something else or moreso the actual Backup Copy Job Name.
I understand its showing the source from where it came from but months later its not very reflective of the situation and messes with my OCD.
I am kind of thinking its related to the .vbm
Thanks for any insight.

Re: How to rename the Backup Job Name (Copy) after seed ?
Hi Stuart
Updating the content of the VBM file is not supported. It can only be performed by our support team if required.
And renaming it after the import is not possible, because it must be changed in the database (also not supported by the end user).
If you want to change the name, please try to get help from our support team.
If you need to seed backup copy jobs again, I recommend using the following steps:

Thanks
Fabian
Correct. When you import the backup files from a new location, they will show the original job name which is in the VBM file.I am kind of thinking its related to the .vbm
