Hello,
we use in our small Environment one Veeam BackUp & Replication Server. Since one our customers are target of an Cyperattack, we want make our BackUp Server more Secure.
The BackUp Server was not joined in Company Active Directory. My wish are now, how i can reduce the risk that i lost my BackUp Files. Yes, we have one External Tape or USB Disc.
My first idea was, i let the BackUp Operator only with User Right in an RDP Session on my BackUp Server. But Veeam BackUp was not work with User Permission, i have set read rights on the registry for Veeam and in Veeam Console the BackUp Operator has Admin rights.
How can i make my Veeam BackUp server more secure? I want make my Repostitory more secure, they was connected to my backup server over Fibre and iSCSI.
best regards, Juerg

Re: How Veeam BackUp Server make more secure
O.K. One solution is that i install the Veeam Console on a Windows 10 Client. So can the user connect to the BackUp Server with Veeam Roles as BackUp/Restore Operator. And for managing Jobs and VMs i can give him another Account.
