IBM Storage Integration Error: Failed to connect to host xxxx, port 22, login yyyyy

Case: 04970398

We use IBM storage integration with storage snapshots (IBM SVC) and I see the error...

Using backup proxy xxxx for retrieving Hard disk 6 data from storage snapshot
Error: Failed to connect to host yyyyy, port 22, login zzzzz

...on a regular base. According to IBM it looks like Veeam is not closing ssh connections properly, they are still in state ESTABLISHED hours after the backup has ended. There is also a limit on SVC side of 32 concurrent ssh connections. As we are backing up 1500 VM's it's also possible that we hit this limit, I don't know how the integration is working and is this taken care of by the plugin.

Storage plugins are normally managed from the vendor itself and then validated. Best here is to work with support and IBM to troubleshoot the issue.

Yeah, well. They asked us to contact Veeam support and provided the list of connections in state ESTABLISHED which should not be there anymore.
