Immutable repo issue - The filesystem is not XFS

Post by unsichtbarre »

I am setting up about my 10th Immutable Repo using Ubuntu 20.04LTS and XFS and I get this error in the add repository wizard, after I have selected the folder which is clearly XFS
"File system behind the provided path is not XFS"
I know this is XFS, because when I run BLKID I get "/dev/mapper/mpatha: UUID="c736cbb6-2088-4df8-aafb-10a77b75bb50" TYPE="xfs""
How am I going wrong?

There is already a topic for your issue:
microsoft-hyper-v-f25/can-t-get-hardene ... 74800.html

You need to get a support case, they know a procedure to help you out. Has something todo with the owner of the path.

Case #05058917

I updated Ubuntu right before trying to configure the repo. I wonder if updating Ubuntu somehow changed how Veeam sees XFS?

Can you post the output of xfs_info for that filesystem? IIRC there was also a case where the output of xfs_info changed in newer versions.

But it was a different error message... veeam-backup-replication-f2/ubuntu-21-0 ... 73850.html

I went ahead and reverted (did NOT run apt-get upgrade) against the template and it worked.

In subsequent installs, I have been able to run the upgrade and it has worked with also updated (latest version) of VBR. Sorry I didn't get xfs_info - I will if it happens again.
