Is there a way to chain backup jobs

Post by larry »

Is there a way to chain backup jobs. By chain I mean when job “A” finishes then job “B” starts, when b finishes then job “C” starts. The reason I want this is that I want different VMs going to different backup locations. Some VMs I keep for two days others up to 35 days. Each VM I send to its own folder. Some folders are on a different SAN than the others. Most are on different drives.
If jobs could be chained then all these things are solved. I can’t just schedule because the time it takes to do the veeam backup varies greatly. With the schedule some times I get two jobs running from the same LUN at the same time.

I am new to veeam so if I am just missing it please let me know.

After just a couple of weeks I can see that Veeam is the best thing ever to happen to backup and RESTORE of my VM world. With VCB it took hours to resore a file now it magic. This is the fist product in a while that made me say WOW. :D
