JOB name vs storage directory
Hi,
I created a JOB with a name eg Backup Job 1
At the storage location he created a folder with the name of the JOB.
I changed the name of the JOB and it continues to save with the old name (Backup Job 1).
In another case he created a new folder but added a number afterwards. Ex: Backup Job 2_2
Why does it happen?
Thanks.

Re: JOB name vs storage directory
Hello,
I do not fully understand your second example.
But in general it looks "working as designed". We do not change the names of the folders in the file system. And we do not write into existing folders (I understood that you created the folder before).
Which problem are you trying to solve?
Best regards,
Hannes

Re: JOB name vs storage directory
Hi,
I didn't create a folder before.
I created a folder to store the JOBs, but I mean the name of the folder that Veeam creates to store the JOB. That's what I'm talking about.
I created a JOB called (Backup JOB 1) when I ran the JOB it creates a folder with that name (Backup JOB 1) and saves the VIBs, VBKs and etc.
However, I changed the JOB name to (Backup JOB XPTO) and cleaned the folder he created that he named (Backup JOB 1). Now the name of JOB has changed, right?
I understand that if I deleted the folder he created he should create a new folder now with the name (Backup JOB XPTO) and no more (Backup JOB 1).
To work I need to remove the JOB or clone it with the name I want it to create with the JOB name.
Thanks.
