Hi,
We are considering moving from our own VMware servers to a large, hosted environment, where we easily can expand resource pools according to our needs.
We currently have our own servers, with Veeam B&R licenses for the processors in the physical servers.
Is it possible to use our own licenses, when the physical servers (+20) are managed by a hosting provider, and when we have no control over, which vCPUs are using which physical processors?

Re: Licensing for hosted VMware
Hi Lars, we have a special licensing for service providers. Please tell them to contact our sales for more information. Thanks!

Re: Licensing for hosted VMware
We (StratoGen) are a VMware hosting company that use Veeam. If you are considering a private cloud solution then the cost of the Veeam licenses may be included in the overall proposal as it is not a significant cost.
Hosting providers wil be running many, many physical hosts so economies of scale are present with regard to the licensing.
