I am sure this has been asked before, but...
I have just created a Linux (CentOS based) repository.
When I run my backups I am getting "Potential data sovereignty violation: target {REPOSITORY-NAME} location (No location tag) does not match source {VM-NAME} location ({LOCALITY-NAME}).".
As far as I can tell there is no way to set this for a Linux repository.
Am I missing something?
I am on the latest version of Backup & Replication (at least I believe so: 11.0.1.12 61).
Any advice would be appreciated as my company insist on this for their reporting needs.

Re: Locality for Linux Repositories
Just realised that I added this to a Scale Out repository and I had not set that with the correct Locality.
Is that why I cannot set this on the underlaying repository?

Re: Locality for Linux Repositories
Hi Matthew,
Yes, most probably, this is the case. For example, the message mentioned above can be displayed if the VM is migrated from one location to another, you can find more details on this page:

Thanks!if you back up VMs from a host that resides in Germany to a backup repository that resides in Australia, Veeam Backup & Replication will display a warning that VM data changes its location
