Maintenance clarification

We currently use Veeam Enterprise. I know we are eligible for the free upgrade to Enterprise Plus licenses.

The last time our Veeam maintenance was due we did a multi-year renewal, so our current maintenance does not expire until mid-2015.

My question is this. If we do the free upgrade to the Enterprise Plus licenses, will we not have to upgrade to Enterprise Plus level support until our current agreement runs out in 2015? So essentially we would be getting Enterprise Plus features and support free until that time?

According to the sticky FAQ:

Note that claiming the upgrade will increase your product maintenance costs starting the next maintenance cycle, as those are calculated off MSRP.
