malware scan with symantec endpoint protection

Post by andreas2012 »

Hi,

When we select "Scan the restored machine for malware..." we get the error "Malware scan isn possible for the following machine....."

We have looked at the KB3132, and verified that the mount server has the xml file AntivirusInfos.xml. We are running Symantec Endpoint Protection. And we have configured our xml file like below, but still same problem. Anyone using Symantec Defender for Endpoint ?

Hello,
does a manual scan work with the paths you changed (eicar test virus)?

And do you maybe have a case number with more details why the "malware scan isn't possible"? Any explanation in the logs what failed?

Best regards,
Hannes
