I have a Veeam installation consisting of:
- Veeam 9.0 running as VM
- 2 Veeam proxies running as VM
- Windows physical server as backup repository
- Jobs created + executed on Veeam server
My requirement is (for performance reasons) to move the Veeam server instance from running on a VM to running on the Windows physical server which is also the backup repository.
I've seen this article https://www.veeam.com/kb1889 which makes it look straightforward, but if I am moving the configuration database to the server that is also the backup repository, will I maintain the existing backups on the repository? Will I need to reconfigure the backup repository to be the local server rather than a Window server name?

Re: Migrating Veeam from VM to a physical server
Hi David,
I think this will help you more: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... tml?ver=95 especially the part around migration.
For the backups. That repository is local on the virtual current VBR server? Are you going to move the data to the new server or keep the VM with the backups until they are expired?
