Hi,
we are using Veeam BR 11 on a physical Windows Server 2016. All Veeam Services are running on this server & the Backuprepository is also situated on this machine.
Unfortunatly we set up this server as a memberserver in the productive domain (5 years ago). As this is on good idea (when it breaks down to cryptolockers), we now think about moving this server out of the domain and into a workgroup.
Will this action interfere with all the configured backupjobs of Veeam (Backups of VMs and physical servers, backup-copy-jobs)?
May it happen, that we might have to reconfigure all the veeam-jobs?
What will be the best practise to move a up and running veeam-backupserver out of a domain?
Would it be better to reinstall the whole thing?
Thanks a lot!

Re: Move Backupserver from Domain in Workgroup
This question has been asked quite often, i.e. in veeam-backup-replication-f2/veeam-backu ... 78496.html
Yes you can quite simply move the VBR server out of the domain. Credentials used by Veeam are stored in the database so they should not need to be entered again.
Be sure to check if any services or database connections run under a domain account (by default they don't). Also make sure DNS works, otherwise not all added components might be resolvable.
