Moving Veeam Backup and Replication Server to New hardware
• What options are available to migrate the Veeam Backup Repository from old server to new server?
Below are my thoughts needs your suggestion
o Shall we keep the current data intact and reconfigure the backups and repository on new hardware
o No scale out option available else we can add repository from new hardware and evict the old one
• Can we replicate the full backup repository from HQ server to DR server?
Below are my thoughts needs your suggestion
o We will replicate virtual machines on DR hosts
o We will create secondary backup repository for backup jobs so that one copy of data will be transferred to DR backup server repository

Hi Mohammed, are you migrating the entire Veeam B&R instance or just the repository? In the latter case, please see this topic. Thanks!

Then you first need to migrate Veeam B&R itself using configuration backup and then switch it to the new repository.

Re: Moving Veeam Backup and Replication Server to New hardware
Hi Foggy,
Thanks for your reply !
In my old backup server i have three backup repositories with E,F and G drives.
On my new backup server i will be having single backup repository as E drive (DAS, REFS,26TB )
In below steps according to this link https://www.veeam.com/kb1889, We have to keep the local drive letters on new server same as old server, but i want only one backup repository on new server with drive "E".
So after step 5 shall i edit each job and change the backup repository according to new server ?
Perform the following steps on the new server:
1.Install Veeam Backup & Replication with a brand new DB.
2.Apply the latest patch to Veeam Backup & Replication: http://www.veeam.com/patches.html
3.Make sure all local drives that were being used as repositories on the old server are now attached with the same drive letters on the new server.
4.Perform configuration backup restore:
Note: It will be necessary to re-enter the password for every account during restore of non-encrypted configuration backups.
5.Run a test job to make sure everything moved correctly.

Hi Mohammed, prior to running the jobs you would need to re-point them to the new repository as described in this KB article. Thanks!
