We currently have Nimble snapshot replication happening between our primary and DR datacenters, but would like to utilize Veeam Backups and Backup Copy for point in time archiving.
Is it possible to create Veeam Backups and Backup Copies at the DR site from the Nimble snapshots already replicated to the DR array?

Re: Nimble Integration
Hi Claude,
I'm not aware of a way to import/integrate existent snapshots from Nimble arrays to act as the source of Backups/Archives data for the Veeam configured jobs.
However, considering the existent storage snapshots aren't the object that Veeam Software is aware of, the "import" function is unlikely to be preferred as to the most, the existent snapshots and structure of volume groups in place without Veeam in the picture (yet) would differentiate from the structure of jobs/copies/snapshots to be taken once Veeam is plugged into directly integrated snapshot capabilities.
Thank you.

Re: Nimble Integration
Backup jobs could be configured at the DR site, but keep in mind BfSS would create new snapshots during the backup jobs rather than backup from the existing snapshots. But it would definitely be possible to restore VM data from the existing snapshots.
Going forward, to simplify things simply create a backup job where the target is Nimble Snapshot, and then a secondary target could be defined of Nimble Snapshot Replicated Copy to send those snapshots to the DR site. This could be used to augment traditional backup jobs going to some sort of disk repository.
