Hello all,
two weeks ago, I installed a Veeam Backup $ Replication (32bits) version 5.0.2.230.
I have a windows server 2003 with dynamic disk and with accent.
When I tried to do a guest file restore windows, I had a message which said me it wasn't supported and it failed
I did a guest file other OS but I can't recover files with non latin character like é.
Yesterday I installed Veeam on a new server (same version but 64 bits) by downloading new sources and in both case (dynamic disk and non latin character) i can recover file with guest files Windows.
I take a look on veeam website, but I didn't see anything on this. Does Veeam make an update which fix thes problem or am I very lucky or tired ?
Thanks by advanced.
Sylvain.

Re: non-latin character and dynamic disk
Hello Sylvain,
Basically non-latin characters are not supported for multi-OS file level restore wizard as per our Release Notes. There were no special hotfixes/updates that would support those characters, but it doesn't necessarily mean that it will always fail.
On top of that, you may want to use Instant VM Recovery feature to pull up the required files, this is covered in our F.A.Q. which describes this process for NSS volumes.
Thanks.
