Not enough space on disk

Post by pizang »

I have a large VM (1,2TB). Lately Veeam failed to backup it with an error:
Completing current object backup process
VCB error: Canceling, please wait... Error: Failed to export the disk: There is not enough space on the disk An error occurred, cleaning up...
There was also a second one:
Repairing backup from previous rollback
Repair of backup "plsosfp021" machine was unsuccessful
Undir failed
Client error: RLE decompression error: [1052783] bytes decoded to [1044655] instead of [1048576].
Unable to transform buffer from one format to another. Required buffer format: [].
Cannot handle [undir] command. VBK: [L:\VmBackups\FileServer.vbk]. Patch: [L:\VmBackups\FileServer2009-09-07T190035.vrb].
I have 40GB free on C: on VCB proxy and there is plenty of free space on target (more than 4TB).

Questions:
1. Where there is not enaugh disk space?
2. Is backup still usable?

Can you verify the free disk space on disk where the %TEMP% environment variable points to? As for the second issue, could you please send complete logs from Help | Support information to support@veeam.com, we should be able to tell more from them. I have not seen such error before.
